The Orphanage
Last Saturday, under the student council MMMC, saya dan beberapa rakan melawat rumah anak yatim (ape tah nama die, nanti tgk lam gamba that I'm gonna attach). Actually, it's a Christian orphanage, I don't know until we gather for a short briefing and no wonder only my classmates are Malay. It's ok, I hope it's part of dakwah. I wanna highlight the briefing given by the mastermind, CK. First, the objective of this outreached program. It's 'why we wanna become a doctor?'. What is our aim becoming a doctor. Actually, since I was doing A-Level, kept asking myself that question, seemed to get it wrong. When I'm gonna get the right answer? This how he went "we stay in the hospital for a whole day, so maybe we are too tired with the hospital worked. We can diagnose patient, but we forget to love them. We can treat the patient, but we forget to care. So, I how by joining this outreached program, we remember, we're not only to treat, but also to love and care.." There are 10 children in the house, ranging from 10 to 17 years old. There only 6 of them, coz those in secondary school went to school. Ade extra class kot. We just spent 3 hours of our time with them. So basically, we help them cleaning the house, cook for them and also play games. I think they are quite 'mewah' (maybe becos they are Christian, but actually most of rumah anak yatim quite 'mewah', many ppl donate to them maa) cos they left a periuk of curry untouched, and they throw away quite amount of nasik also. Maybe, they have problem getting basic food, but maybe hard to get snacks coz they were very very very happy that we cook nugget and sausage and when we distributed sweets. But they are lack of love, of course. A few people only take care of them, no love from father and mother. They learnt to do things on their own, and they help much in cleaning their house. I think they don't play outdoors, becos they were very happy to play football outside, even we wanna play other games indoor, they insisted to play football. What a game. I never know it exist in the world. We tied the balloon to our leg, and ppl will step on it, until it burst la. But I don't play la.. haha.. very funny. I really enjoy myself that day. After the games, we watched them eating (huhu, we cannot eat, no enuff food) and have little chatting with them. Here, I think kids are easily influenced by friends at school. The talk bad things. Their words, swearing2 one. Tak padan ngan kecik. Belajar kat skola la tu, kate one of my colleagues. They kids nowadays, even in the morning they and you talk nicely, when they go to school, come back from the school talking bad to you la. Ayooo….what shud I do to my children later, hope they'll get nice father to teach them nice things.. I heard next time, they'll visit handicapped home and old folks. Really wish I could join them.. hehe
