You hurt our pride

Have u read the above article about a physician commenting about houseman.

Some say : he's too much. He just hurt the pride of medicine profession. It's in our blanket, let solve it in without pull the blanket down. Furtherrmore, houseman just step out from universities. Still cannot cope with the environment of hospital, very different. It's tyme they merge the theories and clinical, shud give them some time. They're in the stage of learning. And about the simple procedures they r unable to do. They are skills that need to be learn. They require time to learn, even a great speacialist sometimes miss the good result. And the physician are suppose to guide them, make them know not torture them.

My say : the 'some say' is true. Maybe the clinical procedures we are not really exposed in our medical college (but some eager and find their own chance to do) but the basic things like history taking I think we have enuff time to practice. It just depend on us how much we read and how much we know the question to expand the presenting symptoms.

Yeah, maybe this article a bit too much that it hurt the houseman's pride. It shud be discuss and corrected under the ground so that public won't know this problem. But, we cannot deny public know much better than we doctor do, even some information are misleading. Public can judge who is good who is bad (some patient knows question bad one didn't while a good one do as well they know what good one will examine while a bad one don't. so many student examine them what?!! Haha)

Since this already happen, maybe public know maybe they don't. we have no choice but to bring up the pride again. Gain as much as u can in during this study period and perform well during your housemanship. The more u give the more u get. Give the boss a 'culture shock!!' :))
